About
My name is Jeremy and I started Roughly Simple in 2021 with a simple goal: to build structures that are meant to last while making dream buildings come to life. The idea of Roughly Simple started long before that, however, while I was working in industrial construction after my time in the army. That had some cool parts, but I found that type of construction to cold and lifeless. I was looking for something more and, one day, I found it.
Big timber construction is warm, inviting, and an art form. In 2016, I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned a Construction Management degree. While there, I also enrolled in classes at the Shelter Institute in Maine for timber framing and worked in a post and beam manufacturing company to learn the ins and outs of the trade.
Some people walk through life never finding their form of art, their passion. But, not me, I am here to do big timbers. I have received some great compliments and am building a name for myself quickly as someone to whom the details matter to the quality of my work.
There are few in Nebraska who do big timber for a living. You can talk to any builder who does and then talk to me and you will quickly see my passion and that details matter to me.
I don’t have to do this work; I enjoy it, and it gets me excited. I look forward to pulling into the job site in the morning and looking at it as I drive away at the end of the day.
Making your dreams come true is my dream.
